It is hard to believe how quickly this year has gone by. We are already into the last quarter of school, a quarter which promises to be packed with learning. As we get into this busy time, full of commitments and sunshine, please help your child keep up the routines of homework and a bedtime that is not too late.
Report Cards
Report cards will be sent home on Monday, March 22. Please be looking for them!
Alaska History
Students are beginning to delve into some Alaska history topics, by developing good research questions and conducting Internet research. Ask your child what he/she has learned about research questions and evaluating a website. If your child has any historical Alaska artifacts he/she would like to bring in to share, we would love to see them.
Next week:
In reading, students will begin novel groups.
In writing, students will continue to dissect tests and work on organizing writing for prompts.
In math, students will continue Unit 10, which focuses on symmetry and reflections.
In social studies, students will continue their Alaska history research.
In science, students will continue to learn about the solar system.
